Ace started making music at age 8 on a secondhand laptop that sounded like a jet engine taking off. The fan noise became his first beat. At the same age, he picked up his first camera and started filming everything in sight - his cat, his cereal, his bewildered parents. The footage is grainy. The vision was clear.

Today he has a souped-up PC, a full studio setup, and a camera collection that costs more than his first apartment. He directs, films, and edits every one of his videos himself - which means he has nobody to blame when the lighting is bad. He blames the sun.

Ace plays guitar, piano, and drums - though "plays" is generous for the drums. His neighbours describe the sound as "a construction site that discovered rhythm." Ace calls it "percussive storytelling." He also sings and raps, which his neighbours describe as "significantly better than the drums."

When he is not performing, Ace draws comics and illustrations. His webcomic series follows a grumpy synthesizer who achieves sentience and refuses to stay in tune. Critics call it "derivative." Ace calls it "the most honest portrayal of artistic struggle since the invention of the minor chord."

His biggest inspiration? Tyler, the Creator. Ace has watched the "Flower Boy" visual album so many times he can recite the colour grading notes from memory. He has a poster of Igor on his wall and may or may not have named his laptop Igor. He did name it Igor.
